• The Gallagher Pet Master TM is designed as a deterrent only.
  
  
• It has a gentle pulse and will not harm animals or children.
  
  
• The Energiser must never be switched off. If the animal has the opportunity to touch the fence without feeling the "slap" it may learn that crossing the fence is possible and retraining could be necessary.
  
  
• Stay with your pet when first installed and when they touch the fence reinforce their action with a sharp "No" command. It is important the pet touches the fence soon after the installation as this will prevent them from learning to jump the fence as well as respect its boundaries.
  
  
• The fence is simply installed 200 to 300mm from the garden or boundary wall and immediately the pet will soon learn never to venture near or over the fence.
  
  
• Dogs may only require 1 to 2 wires with the top wire positioned at "nose height" while cats my require up to 3 wires.
  
  
• The fence posts are tapped into the ground at 4m intervals (closer if fencing is an odd shape) and the wire is attached using the clips supplied.
  
  
• The fence does not need to be connected into a loop therefore can be installed on only one side of the yard or wherever the problem exists.
